This was a tough week. I knew I was addicted to sugar, but I did not realise how bad it had become.
Day 2 I felt a bit groggy, but day 3 I woke about 3am and could not get back to sleep and had a headache all day at the base of my skull at the back where my skull meets my neck. Throbbing headache, all day, couldn’t shift it no matter how much water I drank and how much I stretched out. Thankfully I had booked to see my chiropractor the next day.
Then on day 3!! Oh my god. The pain was much worse, my head was pounding my entire system felt out of balance. Fortunately, as I mentioned, I had an appointment with my chiropractor. She said it was the worst she has seen my system with my left leg appearing about an inch shorter than my right. By the end of our appointment though, I felt much better like my body was starting to return to normal. The pain and the headache subsided within the hour and my cycle home was much easier than the cycle in.
I think I will take the weekend off and allow myself some sugar on Saturday. Yes, Sunday to Friday sugar free sounds like a suitable way to progress this dietary change.
